From an early age, Oumkalthoum Bint Imam Al Shafi was surrounded by the world of art, thanks to her mother's passion for art and collecting. Growing up, she developed a deep appreciation for the diverse art forms of the world and developed a particular affinity for artisanat. Fueled by her extensive travels and exposure to countless cultures, she felt a strong desire to create a platform where people could discover these art forms and appreciate their cultural significance.

منذ سن مبكرة، نشأت أم كلثوم بنت الإمام الشافعي في بيئة فنية بفضل شغف والدتها بالفن وجمع التحف. ومع مرور الوقت، تطوّرت لديها تقدير عميق لمختلف أشكال الفنون حول العالم، وولع خاص بالحِرَف اليدوية التقليدية. وبفضل أسفارها العديدة وتعرّفها على ثقافات متنوعة، وُلد لديها شغف قوي بإنشاء منصة تُمكِّن الناس من اكتشاف هذه الفنون وتقدير قيمتها الثقافية.
